Ishwar Solicitors can assist you with drafting and attestation of various legal documents including:
Sponsorship and Accommodation Declaration- We can assist in drafting and attesting declaration for accommodation and sponsorship documents. These are usually required when someone applies for a visa from abroad (for example a visit visa or spouse entry visa) and you need to confirm that you take responsibility for their stay in the UK, including their accommodation and financial needs. You will also need to ensure that they leave the UK if the visa they are applying for is temporary. The person(s) making the declaration will need to come to our office with their ID and provide basic level information about their identity, finances, accommodation and reasons for supporting the visa application of the person that intends to come to the UK. We will then use this information to draft a sponsorship/accommodation declaration which you will then sign in the presence of a solicitor. You can also choose to bring in a pre-drafted document which the solicitor will check and once you are happy with the document you will sign the document in the presence of a solicitor. The solicitor will then sign and date the document with their details as well as give it a stamp of Commissioner of Oaths. An appointment is not usually required for this service, as you can come in on our open hours. However you may have to wait in the queue if our office is busy.
Certification of Documents- a copy of the document/photo (for example a passport, education qualification or bank statement) is taken and confirmed to be a true copy of the original by a solicitor. You will need to bring the original document to our office and after the copy of the document or photo is deemed to be a true copy, the solicitor will sign and date the document with their details. An appointment is not usually required for this service, as you can come in on our open hours. However you may have to wait in the queue if our office is busy.
Change of Name Deed/ Statutory declarations/ Affidavits- We can assist in drafting a document to affirm the truth of the information you choose to disclose. You will need to come to our office for this with your ID and instruct us to draft the document in accordance with your requirements. You can also choose to bring in a pre-drafted document which the solicitor will check and once you are happy with the document you will 'swear' that the information in the document is the truth. Once you sign the document in the presence of a solicitor as a witness, they will sign and stamp it so that it can be used as formal evidence. For change of name deed documents there are age requirements and we will advise you about this process. An appointment is not usually required for this service, as you can come in on our open hours. However you may have to wait in the queue if our office is busy. We advise for prior confirmation if we could provide this service as we are unable to attest few declarations involving transactions and finances for mortgage purpose.
