We handle no-fault divorce matters and can help you with divorce applications in cases where you do not require financial settlements. Under the new law the applicant is not required to blame the other party for the divorce or provide evidence of the marriage breaking down irretrievably. The move to no-fault divorce eliminates the need for making allegations and parties are able to make a joint application, meaning that from the very beginning, parties can work together where they have reached the conclusion that their marriage has broken down irretrievably. A divorce or dissolution will take at least 6 months to complete, even if your circumstances are straightforward. It might take longer if the respondent does not want the divorce or you need to sort out issues with money, property or children. We can also assist with applications for child arrangements order if you have a child from a previous relationship and require a Court Order to contact, custody or spend time with the child.

• Preparing application with supporting evidence (skeleton argument if applicable) 
• Preparing detailed representations/ hearing bundles and Cover Letter (if applicable).
• Finalizing your documentation
• Submitting your application and documents and assisting you in making the payments to the Court. Also managing all correspondence with the court.
• Arranging and booking suitable barristers for key court dates and meetings as well as any interpreters or other experts if required. Also managing correspondence with the barristers.
• Waiting for a decision/order and making further submission/ providing updates on progress of the case
• Advising on outcome of application and best course of further steps if required.
